HCA = Community
Holmes Center for the Arts believes in the importance of creating art together as a community and here are some of the ways we bring art to everyone!
Classes in the arts for those with developmental disabilities
Through the years HCA has had the privilege of taking classes in the arts to the Training Center and more recently of bringing special needs clients to our new building. Thanks to grants from organizations like Save and Serve and the Talty Foundation, HCA is able to serve those with the least access to the arts.
Sensory Friendly Shows
HCA has begun producing sensory friendly shows to give those with special sensory needs an opportunity to attend live events in the arts.
Classes for Seniors
HCA brings classes and performances in the arts to local retirement homes.
After School Program for Teens
Thanks to the United Way, HCA is able to offer an after-school program for teens in conjunction with NextGen on Thursday afternoons until 6 PM. The free program offers snacks, mentoring, games, homework help, and a 1-hour class in a genre of art. For more information or to register your teen, email us at info@holmescenterforthearts.org.
Transportation is provided to HCA after school. Parents must pick up at 6:00.
