This is a six week course in basic Spanish for new or returning students. This class is a great way to prepare for a missions trip or to communicate with your neighbors.

Landscape Painting with Diane Graebner
Saturdays, April 28, May 16, June 13, and July 11
12:30-3 p.m., $30 per
workshop (sign up for one or all). Ages 16 and up. Limit of ten participants per class. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from this renowned, award-winning artist, whose work has been represented in galleries throughout the United States. “Creating my
landscapes gives me a feeling of peace,” Graebner said. “I love water, waterfalls, trees, and mountains. While creating these, I feel like I am a part of the whole.”
Participants will create acrylic landscapes on 11” x 14” stretched canvas. Supplies will be provided, but students may bring their own paints and brushes if they wish.

Watercolor Pets in Paint
Fridays, April 10, 17, 24, and May 1, 6-7:30 p.m., with
Michelle Steffen, $60, teen-adult, brave-beginners, or intermediate level. It’s always fun to paint something you love. So why not paint our pets? Bring a photo
of a single pet (perhaps several photos to choose from), and watercolor paints.
Pencil/paper will be provided.

Botanical Drawing: Spring Flowers, Thursdays April 30, May 7, and 14
12:00-01:30 Pm

Marcia Detter, $45. teen-adult
In this class you will be able to combine realism with your own artistic aesthetic. You can choose to do several small floral studies utilizing colored pencils or watercolor paints or elect to do one or two larger floral works utilizing the same mediums. Topics covered in this class will include pencil drawing of flowers, colored pencil techniques, washes, and opaque applications of watercolor. Materials and reference will be provided.
