Music Instructor Bios
Susan Weaver, Piano Instructor
A native of Colorado and a resident of Holmes County OH, Susan has been playing the piano since she was six years old. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Sacred Music and a Master’s degree in Piano Performance. In Colorado, in Iowa, and now in Ohio, she has taught piano lessons for many students over the years. Her performing experience includes solo recitals, accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists as well as choirs, accompanying Handel’s Messiah, and leading worship music. She is thrilled to be able to be a part of what Holmes Center for the Arts is doing for our community.
Phinehas Johnson, Guitar Instructor
Phinehas Johnson is the resident guitar instructor for Holmes Center for the Arts. He plays mandolin, guitar, and harmonica and is a Nashville recording artist. He plays in the duo "Low Gap" and performs throughout the country. He is also a guitar player for the Hiland Jazz Band.
