Students in Middle and High School will hone their visual art skills using a variety of media to explore various drawing and painting methods and clay-building techniques. Shading, color theory, still life, and portrait drawing will be studied and all projects will have an art history focus.

Functional Ceramics on the Potters Wheel. Learn to use the potter's wheel to make stoneware vessels. Participants will explore form and function to integrate art and aesthetics, creating pots that can be used in everyday living.

Little Explorers: Mommy and Me Workshop
Ages 1 - 3 Tuesday Mornings 10:30-11:30 Little Explorers, Mommy and Me workshop will enhance toddlers' brain development by learning through music, storytelling, art, socializing, and play. The parents/s and or guardians will grow their relationship and be a source of comfort and guidance to their child while they navigate through the activities provided. Each month there will be a new theme and activities that correspond. some activities include: introducing musical instruments, sensory bins, different styles of music, books, arts, and crafts, just to name a few! $48 per 4 week session Session 1, (August 23rd, 30th, September 6th, 13th) Topic: Friendships! Little Explorer's Mommy and Me class will explore what it means to be a friend. Join us while we sing, create, move and play our way into building relationships with each other. Little Explorers Session 2 (September 20th, 27th, October 4th, 11th) Topic: Autumn Splendor There's no better way to celebrate the fall season by letting your toddler explore through sensory play and traditions that you already know and love. Little Explorer's Mommy and Me class will continue to create activities that promote socialization and relationship building between you and your child. Little Explorers Session 3 (October 18th, 25th, November 1st, 8th) Topic: I am Unique Your toddlers uniqueness is their magic. The activities provided will help your child lean to develop their sense of self worth as well as acceptance and kindness of others who are different or similar to them.

Custom make your own watercolor palette or slab platter. Techniques and instruction will cover slab construction, additive sculpture and subtractive sculpture, and texture creation. After class, the instructor will fire and glaze white unless other arrangements are made. Projects can be picked up at the center at a later time.

An introduction to the Pennsylvania Dutch style of folk art. This workshop will include a bit of history and instruction on Fraktur supplies and composition followed by hands-on pen and ink drawing.

Christmas-Themed Sweater Embellishing

Ages 10+
Beginner-friendly needle felting instruction with a holiday theme. Participants should bring their own sweaters to work on or may choose to make a small sampler or patch to take home. In addition to needle felting, other wearable embellishments will be available or students may bring their own. Hot glue, tacky glue, etc will be available.
Supply fee 6$ (Students keep their foam block and needle.)
