Baton Twirling

Holmes Center for the Arts is excited to add Baton Twirling as a class for interested students.  Students will learn proper technique for twirling a baton along with the skills they might need for routines as majorette in a marching band or for performing in parades and on stage.  

Classes begin Tuesday January 7th and runs 13 weeks, ending in a recital on Friday, April 17th at Ohio Star Theater in Sugarcreek.  Cost for classes is $123.50 per semester.  Scholarships are available.  Quarterly or Half Semester payments are acceptable.  


5:30 - 6:15 Basic Twirl (new students)

6:30 - 7:15 Beginner Twirl (returning students)


5:00 - 5:45 PM Basic Twirl (new students)

Susie Chaney is the coach of the West Holmes High School Majorettes and twirl instructor for Holmes Center for the Arts.  She has over 20 years experience in teaching and coaching baton and is excited to offer youth more opportunities for learning, performing, and growing in the art of baton twirling.  She is available for teaching private lessons as well as group lessons.
